NOTE: While making this post, I was showing Chipchompdoodles some pictures of my drawings. So this is my explanation for random moments where Chip says “Looks awesome!”
Part 4: Chip and I Draw! Plus, Secret Project Reveals!
Alrighty, as we start on yet another day of celebration post writing (that’s right, it’s taking days to make this post!), we welcome in another fantastic friend of mine, chipchompdoodles!
He’s going to be writing in underline, a brilliant idea by him. I forgot about underline haha
Anyway, he could have to go any moment, but we’re going to try to do some cool stuff while we have time to.
In this part, we’ll be doing some drawings!
Basically, we’ll take a couple minutes to draw something and then we’ll come back here and load it. You can draw on the computer or paper, it’s up to you. I might do computer drawing because it will be faster to upload.
Without further ado, how’s it going, Chip?
It’s going great, Cam!
Awesome! Do you have a specific idea of what you want us to draw first?
Not really… Maybe a Robo Dinosaur or something crazy like that.
Robo dinosaur? I haven’t heard of that, let’s give it a try!
Sure. I think I have to go right now though (for lunch and stuff)… I’m sure we can find a good time though.
Aww. Maybe come back and upload it later?
Yeah, I’ll make a drawing and upload later…
Hmm… could you simply challenge me to draw something in the meantime?
Draw a shoretrooper from Rogue One.
Thanks Chip, I will! See you later! 🙂
Alrighty folks, here’s what a shore trooper looks like.
So, let’s start with the helmet, in my opinion the most important part…
Eh, it looks okay. Hopefully I can pull it together a bit more, here.
Okay, that should just about do it for the head.
Alrighty, my first body came out very bad, so I’m retrying it. Chip has rejoined us! He’s going to be doing some side-by-side commentary here. XD
By the way, you seem to like the troopers a lot! Is that true? More than just shoretroopers— death troopers, storm troopers, etc.
Yeah, I guess I do.
Arms getting worked on…
Cool! So what art program do you use? I use Inkscape and Gimp, both free.
Yeah, I’m using One Motion! I like… um… Real-Life-Drawing, but when it comes to online drawing, this is my program!
Arms look a little weird, but going okay!
Sweet! I think they look awesome!
Hey Cam, I was wondering, maybe to spice some things up, I could post a teaser picture of my Secret Project? And then on my blog I would say, “If you wanna see a sneak peek teaser of my Secret Project, go check out Cam’s 100 Followers Celebration Post!”
I think that’s a fantastic idea! Plus, it helps add to this post as well, so thank you!
You know, a month into my blog, I started a Secret Project too!
For real? I didn’t know that.
Yeah! It still goes on today, in a matter of fact.
Cool! Well, let me go make one up in Gimp. Shouldn’t take to long, and you can work on your Shoretrooper!
Sounds good! Working on a very important part now— the blaster!
Can’t wait to see it!
Hai there guys.
Hey, Ella joined! How’s it going, Ella?
Hi chip! That is chipchompdoodles right?
Yup, it’s me!
Well hullo! Brb guys.
You know, the tough thing about drawing a shoretrooper is that this program is called “OneMotion”, and it really makes sense when I think about it. It’s about motion. Troopers are hard because they’re kinda like robots XD
Yeah. I know what you mean.
Blaster’s looking good!
Alrighty, now time for some legs. These might be tricky…
Well I have finished the sneak peak teaser for the Secret Project. Cam, can you make a big title so someone who is scrolling down can fid it? That would be great.
Awesome! Of course, sure. I might actually just add it to the part 4 Title.
Should I post it below?
So yeah, everyone, chip has for us an awesome sneak peek to his Secret Project, which I know he has been working hard on for quite a bit now. 🙂
Here it is:
As you can see, it is zoomed in quite a bit.
What could it be? Squirrel? A cat? A bat? WHO KNOWS! Oh yeah, all of these extra comments can be put in the behind the scenes area. I might make a separate doc actually so we don’t have to scroll back and forth.
Ok. I might have to go soon! But I’ll be back here a lot.
Awesome! Check out the new Behind the Scenes area, too! 🙂
Readers: If you are interested in some random chatter that came through the making of this post, in the final day of this event is a Behind the Scenes link that will lead you straight toward our conversations!
Okay, it’s finished! The legs DO look a little strange but here it is!
That looks really awesome, Cam! The legs… they definitely are interesting!
Hahaha. Thanks chip!! 🙂
Ok, me and Cam are about to both draw a cyborg dinosaur! We will see how they turn out.
Hey all, I am back once again to continue this post! I am moving on to drawing a cyborg dinosaur. Now, there is no specific model to follow here, so I will have to play this one by ear. I will probably use a reference picture of a T-Rex and add on the mechanics.
Luckily, the T-Rex itself is a living creature, which is good for the program I’m going to use once again— OneMotion!
Unfortunately, mechanics are involved once again. XD
Let’s see how it goes!
[I’m now heading out to draw. Chip has returned. Hi Chip!]
Hey, Cam! I haven’t started my drawing of the cyborg dinosaur yet. I suppose I could do that now.
Up to you! 🙂 I’ve started the head so far… looks good!
For now, I’m doing a normal dinosaur. I’ll enhance it later. 🙂
Ok, I am about to start my drawing!
Hey Chip, check it out! The basics are finished!
I’ll finish up the features, including making this dino cyborg! 😉
Nice! I am still working on the basic head shape… I just can’t get it right.
Yeah it’s tricky. I recommend a model for sure there.
Yeah, maybe. But I like forming the basic shapes myself. It just feels more… … authentic.
Good for you! I tend to need some guidance. If someone can track down SF Joshua, he would agree with that. 😛
Check it out it looks fabulous.
LOLOLOLOL! xDxDxD!!! That’s so good! And I fell for it, too! (I was gonna say, “Wow, that was fast!”)
Alright anyway. Cyborg dinosaur in progress… phase 2!
It’s finished! For real, this time. Presenting…
CYBORG DINO! I’m actually pretty proud of this!
Well, I finished the sketch. I am inking now. Yours looks nice, Cam!
Alright, I finished it. Here is my Cyborg Dinosaur:
Sorry it’s kinda blurry. I hope you like it anyway. As you can see, I gave it a more human anatomy and a cartoony style…
I even signed it, like you do, Cam!
Alright, that concludes Day 4! Day 5 coming up. 😉
