Hey everyone! I went to see The Last Jedi last night, it was awesome!
Aw, man, spoiler alert—it was awesome. I’ll keep spoilers out of this post, but all in all, here’s what I liked.
Special effects: The effects in this movie were magnificent, and the Millenium Falcon, planets, lightsabers, and other elements look more real than ever.
Luke: Luke’s story was really well told. The island scenes were some of the finest in unwrapping the mystery of what happened with his life.
Kylo Ren: Kylo’s story also continues to develop, and it is very interesting to follow along with its twists and turns.
The Photography: The lighting and shots captured with this film were absolutely beautiful.
Rey, Finn, and Poe: The three new heroes continue to deliver, and I love the work that each actor put in to make their character’s story all the more intriguing.
The movie as an episode: The Force Awakens was an interesting exposition, and a very well done movie, but The Last Jedi advanced the plot and answered a few of the questions we had coming out of Episode VII.
Overall, I really enjoy the movie. Many people have been critical of these movies, and that’s okay, but I do think we need to remember what these movies are doing right. I’m very impressed with how they have come so far. I’m not saying they are perfect, but the sequels are effectively creating a new story in the galaxy we love and enjoy.
